Who we are and how this works

You call one number. A dispatcher answers, a Washington-registered restoration contractor is routed to you, and the work is documented and billed to your insurer on covered claims. Here is the whole arrangement, with nothing hidden.

The short version

  1. You call or text 844-543-5757, or send the form. A dispatcher takes the address, what happened and whether water is still running, and walks you through the first steps.
  2. A Washington-registered restoration contractor is routed to you. You are told the company's name and registration number. You can check it with L&I in a minute.
  3. The crew stops the source, documents everything, extracts and dries, with daily moisture readings until the structure is verifiably dry.
  4. On covered claims the contractor bills your insurer directly. You pay your deductible and anything your policy does not cover, nothing upfront. If a loss looks like it will not be covered, you get a written estimate before chargeable work begins.

Who is who

Help Me Now Inc operates this site and the dispatch line. We are a Washington company at 1915 140th Ave NE #1699, Bellevue, WA 98005. We answer, dispatch, coordinate and follow up. We do not perform restoration work, we are not an insurance company, and we do not decide coverage.

The restoration contractor is an independent business registered with the Washington Department of Labor & Industries that performs the mitigation and, if you choose, the rebuild. They carry their own liability insurance, they sign the work authorization with you, and they are responsible for the work. Their name and registration number are given to you before the crew arrives and appear on every document.

Your insurer decides what your policy covers and pays for covered work based on the documentation the contractor provides. The adjuster works directly with the contractor on scope and pricing; you stay informed and in control.

What we promise

  • A person answers around the clock.
  • You know who is coming before they arrive, with a registration number you can verify.
  • Honest timing: the window you are given is real, not a slogan.
  • Honest coverage: if something looks like it will not be covered, you hear it before work starts.
  • Documentation that insurers accept: photos, moisture logs and Xactimate estimates.
  • No deductible games. Waiving or absorbing deductibles is illegal in Washington and we do not work with anyone who does it.

How we are paid

The restoration contractor pays Help Me Now Inc for the dispatch and coordination service. That cost is not added to your bill and is not billed to your insurer as a separate item. Homeowners never pay us.

Your rights

You choose your contractor; nothing obligates you to use the one we route, and you can stop at any time before signing a work authorization. Read the authorization before signing; it should name the contractor, describe the work, state your responsibility for the deductible and non-covered items, and not assign your entire claim. If anything about the process concerns you, call us or contact the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner's consumer advocacy line.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us

Is Seattle Water Damage Pros a restoration company?

No. It is a dispatch and coordination service operated by Help Me Now Inc, a Washington company based in Bellevue. The restoration work is performed by an independent, Washington-registered contractor. We tell you the contractor's name and L&I registration number before they arrive, and you can verify it on the Washington Department of Labor & Industries website.

Do I pay you anything?

No. Homeowners never pay Help Me Now Inc. The restoration contractor is paid for the work, by your insurer on covered claims and by you for your deductible and any non-covered items. Our arrangement is with the contractor, not with you.

Why would I call you instead of a restoration company directly?

Because the phone is answered at 2 a.m. by someone whose only job is to get a qualified crew moving, because the contractor we route has agreed to our standards for documentation, insurance billing and honesty about coverage, and because you get a clear explanation of what to expect before anyone arrives. If you would rather call a contractor directly, that is a fine choice too.

How do you choose the contractor?

On registration and insurance, on how they document and bill insurance work, on response capability across the four counties, and on how homeowners describe working with them. We do not route to anyone who offers to waive deductibles or who will not put their L&I number on paper.
